Pilot Training in Bangalore by HAL Rotatary Wing Academy, Bangalore
HAL started the helicopter pilots training institute named HAL Rotary Wing Academy. At present, this is the only Civil Helicopter Pilot’s Training Institute in India approved by the DGCA.

Pilot’s Training
The course duration will be approx. 20 months for Commercial Helicopter Pilot’s Licence (CHPL) and 9 months for Private Helicopter Pilot’s Licence (PHPL).
CHPL will entitle a candidate for employment with Scheduled and Non Scheduled Operators (Commercial).
PHPL will entitle a candidate for flying helicopters owned for Private Purposes (non-commercial).and without receiving any remuneration as a pilot.
